‘GULLY ART‘ is a series of works that talks about urban development and change by looking at commonly seen street-side scenes overlooked by the people. These paintings depict the beauty in the mundane spaces we walk around everyday. The following are documented, studied and painted in detail. The humans, structure and colour palette of these illustrations composed are entirely hand painted which bears a resemblance to the bustling nature of a metropolis – when looked at through a wider lens and juxtaposed with the common man/woman.
These works were shown at the 'JEHANGIR ART GALLERY' 2019.
