Selection of my recent work
Arabic calligraphy is a recurring theme in the work of HelenAbbas. In this collection she has combined traditionalcalligraphic techniques with a modern perspective.Slices of type are layered to build abstracted sets of words and letters and then placed upon burnt backgrounds.The result is a contemporary style which is unique to her work and broad in appeal.
