Standing Switch Podcast Artwork

An exploration of different logos, podcast player artwork, and host avatars for my friends' wrestling podcast, Standing Switch.
My friend Kevin approached me last summer asking for some artwork for his wrestling podcast. Being mutual fans of punk rock, I played around with different motifs and color palettes hearkening back to 1960's luchador culture, as well as a wink towards Glenn Danzig and the Misfits (noted wrestling fans themselves) in the font used.
Another exploration of the artwork, focusing on the hosts, Kevin and Andy. Going off some photo studies of them, I reduced them to more cartoony characters and stuck their heads onto a couple of buff wrestler bodies. And being a podcast, of course they'd be yelling at each other.
Finally, we settled on an artwork reconciling the illustrated style I'm known for, but also including some bits and pieces of the previously explored luchador-themed art. Below is the final product.
Kevin and Andy also wanted avatars for social media purposes, and I was more than happy to oblige and repurpose their heads from the previous explorations for the avatars.
Finally, a couple of explorations of Facebook ads using the final artwork, one iteration with text and one without.
