Designed to represent a high efficiency Elta Fans impeller, each blade depicted in the image represents a part of the Earth’s biosphere and the sustainable resources we have access to on our planet.

Each part of an impeller works together in order to achieve its main goal. Similarly, the Earth’s biosphere does the same. Our world is interconnected. Working as one, every part of the planet needs to be cared for in order for our biosphere to continue living.

The melting glaciers shown in the middle of the image give vital sustenance to the diatoms, tiny creatures that live in our oceans and on our beaches. These essential creatures produce a significant percentage of the worlds oxygen but are in danger as sea temperatures rise.

The blades on the impeller represent the sustainable energies we have developed using our planet in a healthy way such as solar energy, biomass

energy, geothermal energy, and hydroelectric energy. The blades also represent essential functions of our planet that help it survive. An erupting volcano’s ash and

lava is carried through the winds across our deserts and into our farms and forests, providing essential nutrients for our agriculture. The mountains and

rainforests work as one to move water and nutrients that feed animals and plant life.

Around the impeller, other important aspects of our planet are depicted including fossils representing the remnants of dead plants and animals that release nutrients into our soils. The coral reefs that provide a large portion of the world’s oxygen supply. Even the depths of our oceans that help feed the land we live on.
