This stop-motion was done as part of a classroom assignment, under the guidance of Lolita Bhaduri, anchored by Jagadish Kumar and Dr. Subir Dey at National Institute of Design.
Team consisted of 3 members and was completed within a week. The brief was to make a short film on any social cause using the medium of stop motion. This movie is about how a disturbing thought which sprouts in one's mind can grow and disintegrate the whole mental stability a person. At the end, the broken pieces joins back together, with the power of will and hope, leaving a scar behind, reminding us of the past.
In order to get the right colors, a lot of experimentation was done using light and colored foils. The film was shot using 3 separate models of skulls, where one gets two of them gets deformed. The scene, where the skull attains its shape from the broken pieces was shot and then reversed.
