Tết Nguyên Đán / National Lunar New Year
We celebrate it along side with China and other Asian countries. Apricot blossom flowers bloom this time of the year. It became our traditional flower for Tet.
People return to their hometowns to meet their families and together they cook square and cylinder rice cakes as traditional food.
Giỗ Tổ / National Commemoration
We celebrate our ancestry roots. According to legends, we are descendants of the union from two major tribles of Dragons and Fairies. From then our ancient kings ruled over 2000 years on our homeland.

Trận Chung Kết / The Finals
We love football with all our hearts. Last year we won the first golden cup in football at SEA games. The first golden cup in 60 years. The whole country came out and cheer all over the streets. We call it "The Storm" because people jump and sing and shout everywhere like a real storm of victory.
Trung Thu / Mid Autum Festival
The moon is full and super big this time. Children has their own magical lanterns with funny shapes like rooster, butterfly and stars. They march on the street and sing lullabies. Evrerybody drinks tea and eats mooncake with family.
Vu Lan / Ghost Festival
We drop lotus lanterns with candles onto rivers to remember our dear lost ones. This day is special for people who want to appreciate their parents for giving them life and raising them.
Ngày Nhà Giáo / Teacher's Day
We love and respect teachers. On this day kids visit their teachers and give them flowers, thank them for their education. People also visit their
beloved teachers to appreciate them.
Lễ Phật Đản / Buddha Day
Although the majority of our population is atheist, Buddhism is our biggest religion for thousands of years . We respect monks and nuns. On this day Buddhists and followers march and sing hymns in praise to Buddha.
