Elephant, Elephant Come Alive! is a children's book that was written by a friend of mine in 2008. I completed the illustrations by hand using design markers on illustration board when I was eighteen and by the summer of 2009 the book was published and available for sale. Elephant, Elephant Come Alive! is a colorful story that focuses on Lucy the Elephant, a historic landmark in Margate City, New Jersey. The book was a lot of fun to make because it has to do with my hometown and the area where I grew up. The book gave me a lot of local exposure and furthered my intrest in publishing, illustration, and graphic design.

Below are a few of my favorite spreads from the story before the text was added. After the spreads were drawn they were cleaned up and the author set up the book using InDesign.
