PLU Locker Room Redesign

I was a part of a small team of designers, athletic staff, painters, installers, and other workers. Together we transformed Pacific Lutheran University's old locker room into a brighter and spirited facility.  The gold and black throughout are the PLU Lutes' colors and work together here to blend together the program's victorious legacy with its modern heritage. This was a 3,675 square foot renovation, including the installation of 133 new lockers, 10 shower stalls, and a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.
Frosty's Legacy
One huge focus of this redesign was to pay tribute to Frosty's encouraging Legacy.  Frosty Westering served as Pacific Lutheran University's Head Football Coach from 1972 until 2003.  During that time he rallied the Lutes to four national titles, including three NAIA Division II Football National Championships in 1980, 1987 and 1993 and one NCAA Division III National Championship in 1999.  He was well regarded in the athletic community for his talent for motivational speaking, as well as his efforts to spread more positive outlooks and companionship.  He also wrote the book Make the Big Time Where You Are.  In 2005 Frosty was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
