Doen is a system of implements designed to enhance the cognitive and motor development of hamadryas baboons living in captivity. It consists of 3 sets of wheels with different mechanisms in each one, which must be deciphered to get food, using hands, fingers and mouth. The wheels are organized in stages of ascending difficulty, so to move to the next level requires learning the current level. The implements are designed with recycled but resistant material, and a guide was also prepared to facilitate self-management, so that the zoo staff can manufacture their own implements if necessary.
