- 3 Traditional Face Portraits - 3 Environmental Portraits
The Task in which we were give was to find and take portraits of 3 individual people, ideally by researching them and setting up a shoot in advance.
Start by printing out the Contact Sheet of the Shoot which constant of around 200 photos. By doing this I could have visual and physical copy for my edits. I went through the Contact Sheet and started selecting the photos in which were out of focused or the camera setting have effected the photo too much. I did this but simple cross them out with a marker pen.
After the crossing the defects I cut them from Capture One file. While doing this I was checking to see if there were more photos that were out of focused or had been effected the camera settings. Along side this I created serval Smart Albums such as - 1 Portrait - C | 1 Portrait - C - r1 | 1 Portrait - C - r2 etc. This is used for separating each shoot individual by colour tags - Red Colour for shoot 1 Portrait - C.
1 Portrait - C | The Album constant of all photos from C Portrait Shoot. Deciding to have them all in one album was better to mange due to three completely different styles of shoot we're all in one session.
1 Portrait - C - r1 | For this I went through all images and deciding either there were worth to coming with or not and adding to a Smart Album. The process was done by giving the photo I believed worth continuing a 1 star rating which added the to r1 smart album.
1 Portrait - C - Overview | Once I completely gone through all the images and given photos that I believed warranted a star rating, I did it once again eliminating more images. But focusing on the very best and the ones that would be most suitable for layout of the Magazine.
2 Portrait - B - Overview | This is where I went through the remaining best images and decide whether they fitting my magazine layout or not. I expirement with multiples different layout with multiple and sometimes the same images.
