'Rams Skull'

Polystyrene with Chicken Wire + Toilet Paper
Like all my sculptures the process starts with scaling an image.

I do this all by hand which can be a tedious process.
Some free hand alterations are made when blowing the image up in order to make it perfect for carving.

Notes are taken a plan is made as to how the piece will be cut out. This needs to be very precisely planned as any mistake will be noticed, and material cannot be added!
My favourite part with completing a sculpture is seeing it on stage when the lights come on. I get a shock every time.
This piece was quite a small centre piece designed for a local Hip-hop show.
Most importantly, the skull was hooked up with a smoke machine which gave an incredible dynamic effect to the otherwise simple stage.
