I was honoured to illustrate a book for Tamil children in Singapore. Most local publishers outsource their illustration work to cheaper production houses in India or China and the resultant work does not accurately reflect childhood in Singapore. This was our opportunity to create something magical and exciting for an oft-neglected demographic. We hope this publication goes a long way to celebrate Tamil cultural heritage in the region.
