A HOPE, A FUTURE
Malaysia is a Southeastern Asian county that is a multiracial, with many different ethnic groups living in the country. These include Malays, Chinese, Indians and the indigenous Bumiputera groups. So, I had to participate in this CCMA competition with the titled given Negaraku: ‘A’ hope ‘A’ future”. First think that comes in my mind is all about Malaysia, I think of all the races, cultures and religions that we have in the country. Lastly, this multicultural context makes Malaysia a highly rich society, with diverse religions, foods, culture and customs.
My poster was inspired by jigsaw puzzle in a circle form with diversity of races that lives in Malaysia. There are five pieces of puzzle that represent many faces at the same time it represents the petals of ‘Bunga Raya”. Even though we have different religions, races and languages but we are equal just like jigsaw puzzle that has different shapes or pictures but when it have match piece by piece we are one. As my headline is “We are one when we are together”. I choose vector and typography to make it more balance. As for the background I choose grain texture while the jigsaw puzzle I choose three main races in Malaysia which are Malay, Chinese and Indian with different costume. Adobe Illustrator is used to create vector and execute this idea which using vector illustration.
To conclude, people might see us as an individual but when we are together, we are one. We as a Malaysian should not compare our differences so that we can live harmony and peaceful environment. #kitaboleh #ahopeafuture
