This is a montage of doors I took from around my neighborhood.
I am fortunate enough to live in Bo-Kaap, a historic and colorful suburb of Cape Town.
It was originally a slave quarter for Indian, Malay and other Asian slaves.
Today the majority of the residence in Bo-Kaap are Muslims of Cape Malay decent.
The houses are all painted bright colors but it's hard to find any solid proof of why this is.
