Collection of pre-sixth-form work
I made this cut by making a print for the background by using  red and orange print ink and a roller to spread the ink out, then pressed the sheet of card onto the paint. i used a cutting knife for the detailing of the fish, aiming to demonstrate a sense of motion from top to bottom by making the cut outs at the top larger than the finer detail on the base.
The above shows the backboard to my old cupboard.  had asked a my family and friends to cover their hand in paint and press it against the board. This added colour to my room as well as a warm reminder of the people in my life .
Here is a diptych painted using oil paints. It is of of the sky line of London, my aim was to capture the light as it reflects against the glass paneling of the buildings.  The one on the left was painted prior the one on the right, I felt that although I was happy with the tones, I the form of the buildings had faded, so i created the one on the right focusing on using the light to also show depth and tone.
