I have been working on a few poster designs lately. Here are some of the ideas used to create them, not put in context or as finalised work, but rather as concepts.

Simplicity and immediacy are important as the message must be conveyed quickly. Too much information that has to be processed doesn't work. The moment is lost and the message forgotten.

Looking into the sources you realise there are some gigantic issues that needs to be dealt with, not only does individual nations create massive amounts of pollution, their combined effects on the world we live in becomes almost incomprehensible.

I'm not pointing fingers at the three nations used in the image, we all contribute to a greater or lesser degree as individuals.

Resources were never infinite, it only seemed that way for a long time. Use them responsibly. Perhaps finding alternatives along the way so in the end we can still enjoy life, but without negative after effects. Or at least not quite so many!

We no longer have the option to putting off change until tomorrow. It is all too easy to put change tomorrow off ad infinitum.

A tender shoot today can become something strong if it is given a chance to grow.
