Butterkist Rebrand

Rebranded Logo
Butterkist is a member of the Seprod Group of companies. The Seprod Group of Companies has been part of the Jamaican economic landscape since 1940.
Butterkist, an international biscuit company, was formed in 2007 and joined several other companies owned by Seprod Limited.

Butterkist creates several biscuits including the Butterkist Cookies, Butterkist Sandwich Cookies, Butterkist Paco Cookies, Pick Nix, Butterkist Snackables Crackers and the Butterkist Cream and Whole Wheat Crackers.

The Butterkist Sandwich Cookies has been part of the Jamaican culture for many years with its main market being school-aged children 3 - 16 years. With the budding potential of the brand and the great tasting cookies, a rebrand became necessary to target high-end customers.

The logo needed to feel and look more modern, while at the same time ensuring it is still identifiable as the well-loved Butterkist brand.

Of the several flavors available, the 'Cookies 'n' Cream' Sandwich Biscuit was chosen for this Rebrand experience. The package was changed to a pouch, to appeal to the high-end customer base. This type of package is not only 'handy' but also resealable if the sweet crunchy goodness is not finished in one sitting!

The graphics used on the packaging were also changed to ensure it grabs the attention of the audience, while 'speaking' of its deliciousness.

A poster was also created, introducing the new packaging while at the same time, advising its loyal customers of the unchanging great taste.
The poster was then depicted in different ways, showing how it would look, as a part of the impending marketing campaign.
