mutate
Team project realized during my studies in ORT University, in Montevideo, Uruguay. The group selected a local brand, and each member should design a new piece of knitted clothing with the brand's identity, taking sustainability into consideration. The product was knitted in an industrial machine.
Mutate is a Uruguayan brand, created in 2003 by Gonzalo Massa and Santiago Barriola, which offers clothing and home decoration.
"Noble, authentic and genuine" are the words the designers use to describe their brand.
Is a very conceptual and diverse style, very defined. All the labor is done with one very defined aesthetic, very linear, pure products, made with noble and original materials. Leather, linen, glass, nothing fake or plastic nor polyester, AUTHENTIC.
