Iconoclasts

Iconoclasts
Designed and produced for a special exhibition at Draftspace in New York City, the theme relied on the representation of mood through the use of Icons. Each Icon was created and embedded in it's piece by means of experimental materials. The use of hand-made fine-point embroidery, multi-material 3D printing, 3D printed wood as well as wax and lost-wax casting all culminated in a collection of men's rings that wood serve as a mood-statement to serve the flavour of the day. And so was the exhibition, laid out on an oversized dinner table with each designers pieces displayed on a plate.

The icons were designed by my husband Eric de Broche des Combes, and all credit goes to him for the beautiful forest-fantasy poster images.

Bon appétit!
