”Sasha the whale”
While in Juneau, Alaska I had the amazing opportunity to photograph humpback whales. Most days in Alaska are chilly, rainy, cloudy, or all of the above. However, the week I was there just happened to be the most pleasant weather Alaska had seen all year. This allowed me to catch this moment through my lens. In the foreground you can see the distinct pattern on the whale’s fluke. This pattern belongs to a whale named Sasha. Behind Sasha you can see part of Alaska’s lush rainforest. And in the very back you can catch one of Alaska’s many mountain peaks with the clear blue sky.
