The Golden Gate Park Walking Tour is a student project done for an SFSU Information Design class. The assignment was to create an 11x17” double-sided printed map featuring step-by-step directions highlighting points of interest along the way. The final product was carefully designed to be folded down to 1/16 of the paper size — perfect for pants pockets. A complex vector illustrated map was created combining information from several sources to create one of the most detailed maps of the park found anywhere today. In addition, a scrollable version of the walking tour was designed to be used on a mobile device.
