Connect Montgomery (CoMo) produces up to date local news for Montgomery County, MD. Their content is published on social media channels and local tv stations. But, many local residents aren't tuning in. My agency was tasked with bringing awareness and name recognition for Connect Montgomery by engaging residents to view CoMo's channels.

My role: Create paid media video ads, design social media posts and templates, assist with design of the landing page.

Branding
It became clear that branding inconsistency needed to be addressed. The internal name of the channels: "PEG: Public Education Government" was being used as the logo, which caused confusion. We created a new logo and a modern brand that emphasizes Connect Montgomery as the public facing identity. Bright colors make it stand out from other local news platforms.
Paid Media Campaign
We tackled awareness by creating a humorous paid media campaign on social media that laser focuses on local news. It makes seemingly mundane events newsworthy! These video ads on Facebook direct people to a landing page featuring CoMo's social channels.
Social
We created monthly social posts to engage Montgomery County residents and provided templates for the client’s internal team so they can post using the new brand identity.
Landing Page
Featuring CoMo's social channels, this landing page easily guides Montgomery County residents to view their latest posts.
