Parklet design
(work undertaken at fletcher studio)
A little parklet design proposed for Provender Coffee & Ruby Wine in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. The intent is to use materials that reflect the local character of the hood that is natural, lively, and to a certain extent rough and edgy at the same time, material such as Corten Steel, wood, and stone. The proposed design also has to negotiate with the 9% slope of the street, which involves 3 stepped platforms, one with an ADA access. The design was inspired by paper folding plane, as well as the functional usage of the site.
