2020 Curling College Championship logo contest

I am on the Curling Club team here at UNL and every year there is a logo design contest for nationals. This Logo will be put on shirts, pins, and a banner. Each college can submit one design for the contest and then there are a panel of judges that decide on the winner. For this seasons Bonspiel, it will be taken place in Fargo, North Dakota.
I wanted to represent Fargo and North Dakota without saying the words. So I decided the best way to do that was to have the state outline almost frame the composition. The colors I chose were from the state flag. From input from teammates from area, they said to somehow incorporate the Fargo Theater sign because it is pretty iconic to the town. The information that was required was "USA Curling College Championship, March 13-15, 2020". I could not pass up the opportunity to use the targets as the 0's in 2020. I also wanted to create some depth by making the 2020 look like it was behind, in between, and on top of the state.
