Senator Michael Hastings                                                                           

Senator Michael Hastings represents the 19th Legislative District which encompasses the south suburbs of Chicago. He is a reputed former military officer in United States Army. He also earned a Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone. Now he is a Member of the Illinois Senate. Hastings defeated Gregory Hannon in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012
