Fantasy Class Make Up Design

For the Make up portion of this semester's Design and Production class. We had to Draw a make up style that we wanted to do. For the fantasy design I wanted to do a tear away look where there was color underneath my skin. Kind of playing off of "Don't judge a book by it's color."
This is the standard base of every stage make up design. The professor told us to use a tone that is about 2 or 3 shades darker so that when we are on stage we do not become washed out.
I used a black eye liner pencil to make the dots for the outline of the tear. For me it is easier to put the points of where all the points of the tear would take place. Where it becomes rough. I think that this could be improved on or even skipped if this make up design was being done multiple times.
Next I decided to play connect the dots and create all the lines that I would be working in.
After drawing the lines I put on a white base that is a Halloween Fantsy make up. The make up itself is meant to just pale the face out. One thing that I wish I had done was use a brush to use along the edges of the black outline. I used a disposable make up sponge which worked well for the area. Just not in the tight spaces.
I used mehron yellow to start on the left side of my face to creat one side of the color spectrum I wanted to show. I used a disposable make up sponge once again to apply lthe oil based make up. I started to apply a lighter version of the yellow about halfway across my left eye. This will be where the orange will start to come into play.
I forgot to take a picture when I finished the red portion on the right side of my face. I pretty much just followed the same steps as the yellow, except with red and on the right side of my face. To achieve the orange across the bridge of my nose I applied a light coat of red, then yellow. I continued to do this over and over untile I reached the desired shade. When the red and orange start to blend I added more red to while laying color down. I used the same technique with the orange and yellow.
Here is the finished product. I am pretty happy with out it turned out. I did go over the black lines later in the day. I did end up wearing this make up design around school for about 6 hours, and it did hold up for the entire time. The colors did not smudge a lot through out the day.
