This project was undertaken during the unit Impact Lab: People in 2019. TradeMutt is a social enterprise raising mental health awareness through colourful tradies clothing. As a group, we developed design solutions to make the key message of the enterprise more influential. We identified the difficulty for tradies to communicate inner feelings with others. Thus, we created an app that allows like-minded tradies to connect in a virtual space. The app consists of two main features: one, where tradies can chat anonymously with each other on topics they are interested in; two, where tradies can attend social events locally such as a Sunday afternoon footy game created by other tradies in the area. Through our concept, we hoped to develop a closer-knit tradies community where everyone has each other's back.

Community Chat:
Tradies can select topics that interest them which will take them into a chat page where they can post and comment about their emotions anonymously. They can also further connect with particular people by clicking on the user's profile.
Social Events:
By typing in postcodes, tradies can find local social events around them, they can bring a mate along and can also create their own events. These events are used to create a tighter local community for tradies.
