Sound Confession Project (3D Design)
For my sound confession, I chose to profess my intense fear of not being successful in the graphic design world. To communicate this idea, I housed the recording device within a weak and fragile envelope. To show the intense competition within design, the images were cut from the graphic design and packaging section of CMYK Magazine. The images were then stitched together to portray the crafty, hand-made creations that designers must produce.

When the envelope is opened, a illustration of a young boy screaming is placed within. The expression on the boy’s face played as a perfect representation of the stress and anxiety I feel towards pursuing graphic design in the real world. Once the image is pulled out of the envelope, the button used to activate the sound device is located underneath the boy’s mouth. When the button is pushed, it reveals the secret: “I’m afraid I won’t make it in the graphic design world.”
