A Brave Life -- Cupcake Courage Cycle
In the design intensive of Week 6, our group understands that in the current situation, what they need most is economic support. Based on this conclusion, we designed the "Cupcake Courage Cycle". As the picture above shows, there are four links, we mainly designed the "Fundraiser Day". On this day, teachers will invite students (mainly primary and secondary students) to participate in this event by email. The events included in the activity are Assembly (guest speaker invited), Games (group Trivia on teen pregnancy quizzes), and Post-it notes (Students will write messages and words of encouragement on post-it notes to the teen mums). After the activity, students who participate in the event can exchange gifts for the event (home-made activity T-shirts and cupcakes). In addition, the team that won the final victory in the combination of the game will donate to the teenage parents on their behalf. The money from the event will be donated to the Community Center and the notes written by the students will be posted on the center's Encouragement Board. Design the purpose of this event not only encourage students to participate and raise awareness for the event, but also bring positivity back to the Support Centre to encourage young teen parents to not give up.
