This exercise in Digital Storytelling is allowing me to explore one of the themes that is reoccurent throughout my art and life, the idea of absence and human affect on the environment around us. Years ago, probably the defining point in the fall of my mental health I lost my father to suicide, and it awoken within me a quest to find something to make him 'permanent' so that I could always feel him. My desperation to have one last moment with my dad led me into the concept of how we are never really gone, because we leave behind parts of us every time we interact with things and I wanted to explore that here.
