This was an experimental stone. The Tusche wash is litho crayon mixed with aguarás (turpentine I think). Some areas I reopened with 2 five and ten minute acetate sittings - redraw and (step I forgot ) breu talc and then gum Arabic. (Missing step means the redraw came weak :/)
Second printing edition in on 5th September 2019. because this is such a beautiful stone. And a much more reliable registration method for me, hahah! The chalk outline used to just rub off...

The witches series are about magical beings and their animal companions that are their shadows, their alter egos- these women, and men, and these animals are one whole when combined. 

These are creatures- that have unnecessary bad reps; baseless superstitions, bad omens and generally a bad symbolism attached to their existence. 

This series is an adventure in exploring and illustrating these stories. I usually do a series of 3s. But, maybe, this will be an ongoing series. I want to have 12 stories in all. So I can hand bind this lithobook of magical beings 😍
