Primitive stains (2017, 2018, 2019)

This project consists of a selection of the palettes that in my case are recycled anime trays used commercially to dispense food, where I mix and dilute the acrylic for painting.
Two painted products remain from the painting process: the canvas and the mixing palette. By stopping in the latter; I perceive in it a genuine pictorial sense, perhaps the purest and most spontaneous that I can produce because the genesis of these stains is alien to its production, they were not made with the conscious intention of “making a stain” however they are stains and they relate to each other, they compensate, they insinuate or hide, they come to compose in such a natural and powerful way that I always go to them to nourish my continuous pictorial learning.

Acrílico sobre poliestireno expandido (anime)
Este proyecto consiste en una selección de las paletas (en este caso bandejas de anime recicladas que se utilizan comercialmente para dispensar alimentos) donde mezclo y diluyo el acrílico para pintar.
Del proceso de pintar quedan dos productos pintados: el lienzo y la paleta de mezcla. Al detenerme en esta última; percibo en ella un sentido pictórico genuino, tal vez el más puro y espontáneo que pueda producir debido a que la génesis de esas manchas es ajena a su producción, no fueron realizadas con la intención consciente de “hacer una mancha” sin embargo, son manchas y se relacionan entre sí, se compensan, se insinúan o se esconden, se llegan a componer de un modo tan natural y potente que siempre acudo a ellas para nutrir mi continuo aprendizaje pictórico.
