Mt Ruapehu, The largest Active Volcano of North Island

"There's a real purity in New Zealand that doesn't exist in the states. It's actually not an easy thing to find in our world anymore. It's a unique place because it is so far away from the rest of the world. There is a sense of isolation and also being protected."
- Elijah Wood
Snow delayed for almost a month this year in New Zealand. End of August 2019, We drove 5 hours in relentless rain to a small town on the North Island Central Plateau, famously known as National Park. It is 20 minutes drive to the country's biggest ski field, Whakapapa on the slopes of the active volcano, Mount Ruapehu. After spending the day in Whakapapa, we drove to Taupo next morning, which is the largest lake in New Zealand. Winters in New Zealand looks so mysterious and alluring and the best way to live the season is to keep moving. Just put on your rain jacket and seize the day! Enjoy the photo story!
