anamorphosis
anamorphosis is the creation of two anamorphosis made for the Numeric Arts Students Lab that taked part in the Écart, Lieu d'art actuel's 25th anniversary, under the supervision of artist-teacher Jean-Ambroise Vesac.
anamorphosis is an invitation to discover the nooks of all works presented in the art gallery. A way to not only see in surface but deeper by moving "into" the work.
The first anamorphosis is composed of three quadrilateral shapes. It is made in a nook of the art gallery. When entering the main room, people can only see a part of the work in an angle, hide by walls and others artists works. They are invited to move, go along the walls, and find a way to be able to see the anamorphosis, as a metaphor to discover every details of the entire exhibition.
The second anamorphosis is a checked pattern of 7x5 squares made in a corridor. One square in two is painted in blue, while the others are white, as the wall is. The anamorphosis is also covered with a projection, an experimentation about breaking perspectives into a corridor.
