Baeksang Arts Awards Trophy 2019
The Baeksang Arts Awards Trophy was designed with the concept of a "Creative Human." The popular culture delivers different messages according to the times, but it implies a diverse human world. This characteristic was rendered as a sculpture.
Beyond the existing Hahoe mask motif, the flowing silhouette along with the curve of the trophy was designed as a human figure, and the grip can be more appreciated when it is in the hand of the winner.
For the symbolic characteristics of the trophy, we first researched about the history and meaning of the Baeksang Arts Awards and the origin of the word “Baeksang”. By interpreting the word as "Endless Imagination," we created various concepts and sketches at the same time. We determined one motif with the client among those concepts and developed the story and symbolism.
