Package Label Evolution
Assignment: Create an updated package label for Skippy Peanut Butter.
Creative Role: Concept | Art Direction
Project Overview: With the possibility of a current client obtaining the classic peanut butter brand Skippy, we did a fun exercise to see what an evolution of the packaging would look like. With the jar keeping its shape, we explored ways to update the label while still staying true to the fun tone of the brand. Keeping the sunburst design in the background, I wanted to use an actual peanut shape, to be the focus of the label. The center panel has a transparent shell shape, with a semi-irridescent shell texture over the top. I simply wanted to be "transparent" about exactly what this product was made of in a fun and unexpected way. You can also easily see how much product is left without having to open the lid.
