A Stitch in Spacetime

I wanted to share a little side project I've been working on over the past few years. Because I'm a huge space nerd, I decided to learn how to cross-stitch so that I could make planets and other celestial bodies. I've always loved the aesthetic of cross-stitch art and how it looks almost 8-bit in style. I'm creating all my patterns based on actual planetary images. The planets are each around 4" in diameter and use anywhere from 20-35 different thread colors.

Next up I'll be working on the four Galilean moons of Jupiter, starting with Io. I plan to make the moons slightly smaller at around 3.6" in diameter.

I don't plan to sell any of my finished pieces, but I do have all the patterns available on Etsy for anyone interested.
