From the moment I saw it, I knew there was something special about Verner Panton's 60s masterpiece, the 'S-chair', better known as the 'Panton chair'. It's a perfect balance of simplified Danish function and flowing, organic 60s forms. It's both a sculpture and a chair. It reinvented the legs of the chair. Because it's more of a form than a piece of furniture, you can use it in millions of different ways. It's just a shape; not a chair. It's about how you interpret the shape, how you interact with it.

Suffice to say it's a piece of design genius, and it's beautiful. And I finally bought one.
