Same Wavelength - Spotify On Stage 2018
Spotify On Stage is an actual (physical) live concert that is organised by Spotify stemming from the South East Asian Region. This is to honor and reward their few targeted key markets, namely Thailand and Indonesia. The tickets are sold only to Spotify subscribers.
The design philosophy
The "wavelength" design motif that converges two colours Yellow and Fushia, signify a coming together of like minded music people in the concert. It also acts as a design identity through out the campaign that looks like an audio wave which is synonymous with music and Spotify as a music related entity.
The lineup are specially selected by Spotify that looked within their own app and choose the song most listened to as well as the artist most interacted using the data they've collected. Localization was key to each market.
The path to purchase
The site allows the purchase of the tickets and display the lineup that is to perform was done by Patrioids which adopts the design cues and consistency of the visual imagery set to further bring to life the campaign.
Of course, making it mobile ready was always inevitable. The graphic idea held up on its own regardless of the format structure.
Hyping it up
Social media wise we continued to gather the interaction and made noise about the event that is coming up by using the lineup themselves. All this by pairing with our wavelength graphic identifier and peppering it all over the internet.
Taking it through
On ground zero of the event, the whole entire venue was covered with the wavelength design and the signature Spotify artist duotone treatment. This brought out the liveliness of the event and synergies visually, what they experience online all the way through to on ground.
At the event as well, we integrated the interstitials between the acts with the wavelength graphic and animate it to introduce the next lineup or when skipping to the next genre ala Spotify themed.
