A former US Marine Corps sergeant, Christopher Throgmorton currently serves as GRAAS operations manager at Amgen where he manages projects and external vendor relations within the Global Regulatory Operations department. Outside of his professional pursuits, Christopher “Chris” Throgmorton supports various nonprofit organizations, including the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

Founded in 1964, the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) is dedicated to protecting, nurturing, and advancing the health and wellness of children in Orange County and beyond. Recently, CHOC received the Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation Silver Plus Award from the American Heart Association.

The American Heart Association (AHA) developed the Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation program to ensure that hospitals follow proper protocols when performing patient safety, resuscitation care, and effective medical emergency team response. CHOC was recognized for implementing quality improvement measures to provide the highest standards of care to patients who experienced cardiac arrests. According to Dr. James Cappon, CHOC’s chief quality officer, participating in the AHA’s program has helped the medical teams at the hospital accomplish their daily tasks.
