Workshop Module Part I Visual Merchandising-2019

Visual Merchandising and Beyond part I: Class project  in groups of 3 involved Identifying a problem and providing a solution through Visual merchandising to the respective merchandise, the shopper, and audience. This was a basic exercise to sensitize students with the existing situations in and around the college.
Exercise: involved observing the many retail outlets around and identifying problems faced from many point of views be it the space, display, fixture, shopper, merchandise, communication, ambience, lighting, process, customer, service, experience etc and get familiarized with what all visual merchandising encompasses from the basic kirana shop, lorry wala, chai wala, kiosk, to small hardware shop. Ideation of solutions not just for a better functioning, visibility, sales but better experience for both the shopper, customer and the society.
Objective: is for the students to understand form,space and order, sensitize towards to enduser and the society. Exercise developed on the basis of the understanding of the students and the given time. In return the exercise helps identify the strengths and weakness of the students to be able to regroup them for the next project.
