For this project we were assigned to start off with photographing an object that could function as a symbol to represent a classic book or play. My symbol was a pocket watch and my book was Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt.

The pocket watch symbolizes the idea of time. For the Tuck family, time no longer impacted them because they drank from the immortality water. At the end of the book, Winnie has to make the choice of whether to stop her own clock with the water or to let her clock continue until death. To symbolize the Tuck family stopping their time and for Winnie allowing her time to naturally move forward till its end, I used a pocket watch do to it's great connection with time.
