AIGA Awards Gala 2019

AIGA Awards Gala 2019
AIGA, or the American Institute of Graphic Arts is a non profit organization that helps bring forth the recognition deserving of graphic artists.  They came to me requesting 4 mail fliers for them to send door to door for an upcoming awards gala they were holding.  The pieces needed to be so similar in that the brand was easily recognizable throughout the designs, but so different that each flier could stand on it's own in design and information.
Below is the brainstorming for all assets included with the package.
I really liked working in the pink color found in the finished product.  What I liked most about the name "AIGA" was how symmetrical the word was.  I wanted to play into the 2 A's on either end and have them create a sort of stability on their own.  After some playing rearranging of the "A" found in the font, I was able to do so.  I kept the same font throughout the entire package of work.  I wanted to make it busy so that it was visually appealing no matter which area you were looking at so that left little room for dead space.

When designing the background images, I wanted to keep in with the stability of the font.  I then created the angled geometric shapes that take your eye from one side of the asset to the other.  Also throwing in a couple sturdy rectangular shapes I feel helped to give the sense of structure.
Below is a sample entrance sign to be placed outside the building on the night of the gala.  I kept in with the same chunky style of the fliers and all the same colors and assets so that the brand was cohesive and well recognizable.
Below is a sample ticket for the event.
Below is a sample pamphlet cover for the night's information.  The 2 different solid colors signify where the spine is and sets the front apart from the back.
