Manila Zoo Rebranding

HISTORY AND BACKGROUND
The Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden Harrison Park or Manila Zoo as more people know it, is the oldest zoo not only in the Philippines, but in Asia. The construction of the zoo began on August 1, 1958. The zoo is now on its 59th year since it was opened to the public in July 25, 1959. It is located in Adriatico St. in Manila with a land area of 5.5 hectares.

The Manila zoo has an approximate population of 500 animals in total composed of roughly 100 species made up of 30 different kinds of mammals, 63 reptile species and 13 types of birds.

With the first major and total renovation of Manila Zoo in 59 years, it is only fitting to provide the zoo with a brand new and appropriate identity to more effectively reintroduce the zoo the public along with its full renovation.

This re-branding aims for the target market to see Manila Zoo as a more capable, full of life, and devoted more than ever which makes the zoo more deserving of support and concern from the public by the time the zoo reopens after its renovation.

Proposed guerilla ads to be placed on places where people go for transport like train stations, underpasses, and bus stops with the most possible audience. These are floor decals that point to the direction of Manila Zoo are meant to lead passersby and give them an idea on the location of zoo and tease them on some of the animals they would find if they do follow these prints.
