1. Combine husafell.com and hotelhusafell.com into a single website.
2. Make use of the current design to limit costs.
3. Goal to uniform the promotion of the Húsafell area as a vacation destination.

I analysed the two websites, its structure and traffic. 
The Hotel Húsafell website holds a lot of information that could easily be restructured into a website for the area leaving a single page for the hotel, but the UI is bursting out of its seams. 
The Husafell area website attracts a lot of traffic but is outdated and its content mainly focussed on Icelandic visitors while by far the biggest target group are foreign tourists.

Conclusion

We have plenty of high quality content but the current design can not accommodate it all. 

I managed to convince the client to expand the budget by presenting him how it would look if we could steer away from the current design and instead create a new UI. 
To compensate for these extra costs I worked on creating a small scaled design system that uses a selection of repetitive elements across the entire website. Thus cutting down development costs.
