Downtown Long Beach Alliance Office

The DLBA is a private non-profit organization operating on behalf of the tenants and property owners of Downtown Long Beach’s two Business Improvement Districts (BID). It is dedicated to the management, marketing, security, maintenance, advocacy, economic and community development of the assessment districts in cooperation with the City of Long Beach and the private sector.

The organization acts as the central provider of various services and events for visitors and tenants in Downtown Long Beach. DLBA is a vital component for tourism and overall popularity in this area, allowing for increases in the economy of Downtown Long Beach since the organization's start. I focused on this aspect of the organization and compared it to the survival strategy of a sunflower. The sunflower's components work together to feed the flower for the plant to continue to grow and reproduce. I incorporated the DLBA logo as a method for wayfinding for the entrance, and used the colors as a palette throughout the space.
