DESIGN STUDIO 2: LOCAL PRODUCTION
For " local production", I targeted at a local issue happening in NYC:
limited living space that international students would share an apartment which means someone lives in the living room.
Imaging the picture: Someone opens the door and he/she can take a whole look at your space.
Research in current space divider products, and my reflects on the structure and material.
Making sketch model based on the floor plan, and interview people who actually live in the living room, thus getting the feedbacks on the right.
Inspired by balloons that holding no weight yet can create a sense of visually-block, the inflatable, modular wall is my concept.
Three measurements included in the modular system: 24*24, 24*32, 32*32, that can have various combinations which can cover a lot situations.
