Another part of my recent look at going back and putting in a couple hours on some of my old illustrations and projects. It's a nice activity to look at past decisions made and see how the things I've learned these past couple years since I did this poster. This one isn't a big redesign or anything. Just a couple hours of adding bits and pieces here and there. 

This is the original poster

It was a originally done for an illustration skill share class by DKNG. I made the illustration more generic and took out the band references. This makes less specific and makes it so I can use it across a variety of mediums.

I also spruced up the background a bit with some minor details. Nothing that would take the focus away from the barrel itself but minor details to help. The original sketches had a lot more going on around the barrel but I didn't sketch them out. Maybe a future idea is to go back to the true original idea. Maybe for another poster.
