SHINE (hand-made lettering)

In an attempt to break myself free from the computer (and because I wanted to create a sweet-ass present for a certain someone), I set out to create some hand-made lettering. No computers involved, other than the laser engraving I had in mind.

This may come as a shock, but I used to be the kid that stayed indoors for hours on end, just.. drawing. And my grandfather was practised in the old arts; oil-painting, wood-sculpting and the likes. So I grew up intrigued by all those tubes of paint and tools of the trade.

I wanted to regain that feeling of actually working hard in the physical world and trying and trying and trying again. To know exactly what you worked for and what steps you undertook to get there. And to get my hands dirty again.

The whole project took about 10 revisions, as well as one 'miss-print' where the engraving wasn't deep enough.
