For my typography class, we had to design four posters to demonstrate four of either the commandments or the heresies of typography from Paul Felton's book. My concept was to make my posters look like the American Letterpress. My inspiration was Hatch Show Print. I used lyrics from The Devil Went Down to Georgia to demonstrate the heresies I used.
Do not forgo the liberal use of capitals within your text.
Entice the readers to sample the delights of your text.
Break the fetters imposed by the use of only three typefaces.
Be seduced into trying new and expressive typefaces.
